Child Disability Help |
Human disability is any type of abnormality or dysfunction resulting in
common deterioration of personal development. Child disability is
divided into three categories: sensory, physical and mental impairment.
Sensory disability affects sight and/or hearing function. This type of
disablement may be caused by an inborn impairment, disease complication
or post-intoxication consequence.
Physical child disability may be brought on either by a birth trauma or
be a result of inborn pathology (e.g. cerebral palsy or other).
Physical disability may be acquired, i.e. caused by an injury (mechanic
trauma as a result of an accident). One of the forms of child
mental disability is called mental retardation which can be inflicted
by a number of unfavorable factors: genetic problems, inborn diseases,
complications during birth (such as lack of oxygen), mother’s
unhealthy way of life before or during the pregnancy etc. Mental
disability manifests in slower developmental of oral, attention or
memory skills and difficulty in social adaptation.
Children with sensory, physical or/and mental impairments are educated
by special programs that consider every child's personal
characteristics. Disability child care involves multiple repetition,
individual teaching and common support. An immature individual is a
subject to obtain child disability benefit. Parents, guardians or
trustees exercising constant support for special needs children have
the right to manage the money using it solely on the child's
needs. A number of governmental and non-governmental organizations help
disabled children in diverse development including learning and
specialty training. Disabled citizens work with own skill-developmental
programs which help them become fully-fledged members of society. |
